Long time Seattle residents may remember the name – Klem Daniels – as a fun, upbeat Seattle radio personality on KJR.  For newer area residents, Klem Daniels is the talent responsible for creating a variety of voices heard every day on radio and television for clients like Discovery Channel and the Future of Flight Aviation Center and imaginative audio productions for clients like Microsoft.

Klem is the owner of production company Klem Daniels Productions where he is creative director, producer, voice talent, copywriter and technical director.  Products include commercials, demos, industrials, and features – both audio and video.

Klem is a man of many voices.  Which voice?  You’ll likely never know because he effortlessly segues from the smooth, resonate voice you hear on Real Networks’ “on-hold” messages to voices that deeply resound with “sell power.”  When the situation or client requires, Klem can ratchet it up a notch and create voices of wild, offbeat characters like that of Chuck Downfield, nine year-old color announcer for Humongous Entertainment’s Backyard Football.

The creation of ear-catching commercials, stirring documentaries, and engaging video productions with lush sound tracks are all integral pieces of the Klem Daniels Productions’ portfolio of audio, video, and voiceover services.  Klem is producer and creative director for many regional and national entities including St. Jude Children’s Hospital and WTS Data Center.

Klem is a thirty-year veteran of the Seattle radio industry.  Initially an on-air personality, he became the radio station production director and copywriter for client commercials and station promos.  These stints included 15 years at KJR, a year at KOMO, six years of national program production at KidStar Radio Just For Kids, and 10 years as production director at Broadcast Programming and Jones Radio Networks.

Klem Daniels is the recipient of many national and local awards including The Communicator Crystal Award for Audio Productions/Documentary as well as multiple winnings of The Mobius and PSRBA’s Soundie Awards.

Klem is often remembered for his production of more than 500 KJR Stewart Street Money Mysteries. He is also remembered for his interviews of many big-name music artists including Josh Grobin, Kenny Loggins, Billy Joel, Harry Chapin, and the Pointer Sisters – interviews that were transformed into weekly, one-hour radio specials.

Additional companies in the KD portfolio: Comcast, Phillips, Princess Cruises, Seattle Opera, United Parcel Service, and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.

"Klem is talented, creative, versatile and, above all, compassionate. Klem was integral to the creation of a Sports Widow Radio pilot show, contributing his talents as both a co-host and a producer. Klem seems to inherently know how to draw out the story and tell it in an engaging way. He knows how to strike just the right tone for a project. For those of us who are new to production, Klem is also a patient coach."
